Burkina Faso's military government blocked the websites of TV5Monde, Deutsche Welle, The Guardian, Ouest-France, Le Monde and others in April 2024 after they covered a Human Rights Watch report on army killings. BBC and Voice of America broadcasts were suspended, and TV5Monde was suspended indefinitely in May 2026.
