What's going on
Turkey blocked more than 230,000 websites in 2025. Discord has been blocked since October 2024, and in March and September 2025 X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook were throttled for hours to days during protests. A law passed in April 2026 lets regulators throttle non-compliant platforms from 1 November 2026.
Before you connect: Sign up and install before arriving. Throttling during big political events can last a few days.
